CARE GUIDE

The Ultimate African Dwarf Frog Care Guide

Habitat

10 gallons per pair is best. Use fine sand or bare-bottom tanks to avoid ingestion. Provide hiding spaces like driftwood, PVC pipes, or caves.

Feeding

Feed every 2–3 days. Alternate between frog-specific sinking pellets and frozen/live bloodworms. Remove uneaten food after 30 minutes.

Health

Watch for red patches, fuzzy skin, extreme lethargy, or floating upside down. These signs may indicate bacterial or fungal infections. Quarantine sick frogs.

Behavior

They’re nocturnal, often found floating or tucked in plants. They make buzzing sounds during mating season and use their limbs to ‘hug’ food.
